Our Story
Rocco Furfaro spent years winning work and building relationships for other people’s firms. But he wanted his own name on the drawings, and he wanted to do it in Western Sydney, where he’d grown up.
The practice didn't begin with a grand manifesto. It began with Rocco putting himself out there, taking on whatever came through the door, and building a reputation one relationship at a time. Early residential projects gave way to commercial developments, education campuses, civic buildings, and masterplanned precincts. The team grew, and importantly, stayed. Most of the people who joined in the early years are still here.
Through it all, the Western Sydney connection has remained central. This is where the team lives and works. When Rocco talks about the Wetherill Park Library upgrade, he's talking about a place he visited as a kid. When the practice designs a neighbourhood centre near the Western Sydney Airport, they’re not studying it from a distance; they’re part of what’s being built.
It’s a practice that grew from Western Sydney because that’s home, and we’ve built it into a firm capable of shaping what the region becomes.
